OK, still planning to show up Friday, but .......
.....I finally made some progress today in a long-running dispute with Hewlett-Packard over a warranty replacement motherboard for a PC, and I've been told that the engineer will be showing up Fri to do the swap. I really need to stick around in Whalley Range until that's done, but hopefully it will be in the morning.
The other thing is that I, a mere mortal, will be drinking with two of the luminaries of north-west eco-living, and I'll feel like a gate-crasher.....
....oh well, I'll just have to blunt my feelings of inadequacy and self-hatred with several mugfulls of the hot 'n' spicy stuff.
Will PM my phone number to Andy H, one in return would by handy.
Cheers Chris _________________ "Hard work has a future payoff. Laziness pays off NOW!!" |

Now I'll definitely have to buy you a drink
hahahaha luminaries of NW eco living hahahahaha
Blimey, if that's true we really are screwed!
Although [smug] we are going to be featured on BBC Radio Manchester again as part of their "people of the year" segment at Christmas. Still slightly baffled by that one. |

Friday daytime is a bit of a bummer for me, what with being a wage slave and all.
Will try & make it down later if possible - if not, I'm sure you'll be able to put the world to rights without me
As an aside, Future Fest kicks off in Manchester on Sunday to coincide with Copenhagen.
Seems an interesting programme of events.

I second that Andy, also enjoyed it very much.
Would have been nice to get a bigger turnout, and the wimp element (a.k.a. me) got a little chilly towards the end.......
.....but if it involves licensed premises in or around Manchester I'm usually up for it.
