All,
I was wondering if anyone knows roughly how much a power station is paying for waste wood chips grade A (wood from shredded pallets or wood boxes, free of nails and other solids, without chemicals or any other contaminants), ie waste biomass to be used as fuel for energy?
I know there are variations across the UK but I heard it was around £40 per tonne (at the station).
Any inputs are mostly welcome.

I'd like to see more waste wood being turned into woodchip. There's not actually much (any?) 'spare' wood for biomass - everything that's burned could have been used for something else, that is then imported instead. I acknowledge we're doing this with our own woodland. _________________ Mike

Welcome Biomasstft!
I've emailed TV Energy, who arrange some of the supply to Slough Heat and Power, to ask them what they pay/are payed. I'll let you know as soon as I receive a reply. _________________ BLOG
