To summarise my position:
- Dumping large quantities of heat into the atmosphere is not a very efficient way of providing services
- Going renewable and electrifying transport avoids this
- You therefore get a big efficiency gain simply by switching over
- I never tried to claim that you can entirely remove the energy losses
- Primary supply is not a very useful comparator
- It's much better to focus on the energy that is actually needed to make things happen and then plan your energy supply around that
- We do not need to build out sufficient renewable capacity to match current primary supply
- Arguing against your incessant stream of FUD and straw man arguments is futile and a big waste of my time |
