Of course you can split a few atoms at home, any natural radioactive material is continualy splitting atoms.

Sounds kind of cool and if I knew more about the topic, I might try an attempt but the US government probably wouldn't like me doing this...facsinating nonetheless!
an impressive thing to attempt. Dont think my kitchen would be the first place i think of putting highly radioactive materials... |
