The 75th turbine was lifted into place on March 31, and marks a major milestone in the development of the 270 MW project, which will be capable of producing enough energy to meet the annual power needs of more than 200,000 households – equivalent to two thirds of the homes in Lincolnshire.

The next lot, a it further out and to the north, will be 4GW and after that there are even bigger plans for the Digger Bank.

Which will save the Dogger Bank from ruination by trawling.

We had a marvellous tape of smutty sea shanties in the previous RenewableMobile, which used to keep us entertained on long journeys. But someone twocced it and (having carried out a string of burglaries, mainly in local leisure centres) took it to the Travellers' site and torched it Sad

Polis know it wasn't the travellers, presumably because they were being watched for other reasons Smile

But I think the most convincing reason why we were never burgled again, even though re-burglaries are depressingly common, was beyond even the most sophisticated parts of "Designing Out Crime". There exists a community of burglars. They frequent the same pubs, clubs and gyms. They recognise each other by things like parking on disabled spaces without the inconvenience of actually being disabled. They talk to each other: sport, motors, bling (they like the same bling as everybody else), recent jobs. There was this most peculiar place I did recently. Well-off-looking semi, nice part of town. We got in and, I'm not joking, there was nothing worth having! It was all old stuff.

That's interesting. It's reminded me that Mum was burgled not long after Dad died, but I don't think anything much was taken, and it never happened again. Bit insulting really!

My apologies for the little divertissement of this thread. Anyway, we have now completed our tour of the UK's wind energy sites (including the marvellous CAT) and yes, we can all confirm that they Look NiceTM
