The Newport Pagnell's people's car, thank you!

What have they done?

Production of their new model will be in Wales.

The UK is still the goto place to build vehicles to burn our finite supply of irreplaceable fuel as fast as possible whilst exceeding any rational speed limit.

The curious thing about all the press releases and commentary about Aston Martin's DBX which will be built at St Athan in the Vale of Glamorgan, is that there's barely a mention that it's an electric car. Most attention is on the very shiny paint and the very soft leather seats.

Even on their own website Aston Martin only slip the word 'electric' in halfway down the page.

This is an interesting bit:

Quote:
Capable of accommodating four adults in comfort, the DBX Concept also majors on day-to-day practicality. It offers generous luggage capacity by virtue of the fact that its rear trunk and forward load bay can both accept passengers belongings.

I was just wondering how many square bales of straw it would carry, that's all. Very Happy

So why is it's unique selling point the little fact that this is the most technically advance electric car about to be built? The buckskin upholstery and remarkable shiny paint seem to be what they think sells cars to the super-rich.
