So the usual result of paying women to farm babies, while we have to build more houses to cover our ever more unsustainable population.

She forgot the Building Insulation Bill where the government prints the money to insulate all buildings in the country to achieve an 80% minimum fuel saving.

https://www.facebook.com/insulatehouses/

Perhaps those who are Friends with her could bring this scheme to her attention.

Green Party Leadership contenders announced. They include David Malone (aka Golem XIV)

From a letter to me:
Quote:
The candidates for the 2016 Green Party Leadership and Deputy Leadership elections are:

Leadership candidates:

Jonathan Bartley and Caroline Lucas (job share)
Clive Lord
David Malone
Martie Warin
David Williams

Deputy Leadership candidates:

Shahrar Ali
Kat Boettge
Alan Borgars
Andrew Cooper
Strm Poorun
Daniella Radice
Amelia Womack

The campaign period will run until 24 July. Throughout this period, we will be holding hustings across the country. These will be excellent opportunities for you to hear about what the candidates stand for and what they hope to achieve.

With so many changes happening in the political world, this election will really define the position and direction of the Green Party for the next two years. The ballot will open on the 25 July and close on 25 August. Click here to find out more about the elections.

Now, David Malone is a man I would vote for, He was a remainer at the referendum. However, he is a realist who has quite pointedly not engaged in the standard remainer nonsense of branding all Leavers as drooling racists morons. I like the guy a lot.

Malone's personal statement is spot on.

You're telling me. A welcome antidote to the last Green leader's car crash interviews whenever economic matters came up. This man knows what he is talking about and wont be sidetracked with bullshit.

I don't think Bartley would have won on his own. If Lucas wanted a job share there should have been an election for both halves of the job.
