|
|
I've been asked to build a cob oven next Tuesday for an allotment in Manchester for a BBC program. I'll be driving up on Monday and would be at a loose end on Monday evening. Anyone available to meet up for a drink? Don't know where I'm staying yet, but I'll have transport so can travel. _________________ BLOG

It's to do with someone who grows tomatoes. They want to see his tomatoes growing, cook them and eat them in a pizza cooked in a clay oven. They wanted to make the clay oven on the day until I told them that the oven needs a week to dry our before it's used. _________________ BLOG

Ooo we may be able to pop over to meet you too. Keep us posted on when and where and I'll see if I can arrange childcare. _________________ Set The Fire To The Third Bar

Sorry folks. I've just been told that the program is off because the contributor's wife has, unfortunately, died, so I won't be in Manchester next week. They had also just realised that most English tomatoes aren't ripe at this time of year and as tomatoes are a centre point of the program they were going to postpone it anyway.
Bright folks these TV people! _________________ BLOG

Blimey . . . a cracking bit of luck/organisation.
Never mind - some other time hopefully, Ken. _________________ Andy Hunt

Maybe our next Northern meet up should be a house warming at your new place then. _________________ Set The Fire To The Third Bar

I could be up for that - then everybody can give me their suggestions as to how to turn a standard three-bed semi into a sensible building
In exchange for drinks |
