Thanks for those various reports.

The EIA report (I only looked at the overview) is interesting for a UK perspective on potential shale gas reserves. The British Geological Society reported reserves in the UK at approximately 18 months production. The EIA overview now suggests 6 years. And then along comes this 'prediction' of four years for just one field in south Wales:

It's going to take a while before we know what the UK potential is. Meanwhile, the global resource also seems to increase with every report.
