My Dad worked on Hinkley C, in the good old days when nuclear was the future tech that would save us all.

He only changed his mind about Nkes after Fukushima. He said if the Jap's can't make them safe noone can.

Nuclear is wonderful. Cameron makes big deals with the French, new business for Rolls Royce, new training school in Bridgwater. Hinkley C is good for business.

At least that's what they said on The World at One Evil or Very Mad Evil or Very Mad Evil or Very Mad.

Any engineering works require planning permission so starting before a planning consent has been given is illegal.

But isn't there one law for them, and another for us Evil or Very Mad.

We should ban all pesky nuclear materials.

We can start by bulldozing Scotland back in to the sea with the rest of the slowly decaying nuclear waste of our planetary formation. Cool

Hinckley C is one of the proposed sites of the new build nuclear reactors: http://www.apho.org.uk/resource/view.aspx?RID=96313

In all probability this will end up being some gargantuan white elephant that may end up not producing any leccy at all

Be a tad difficult that. Scotland is actually rising since the last glacial - thanks to isostatic rebound. It's the South West/Isle of Wight that are currently "sinking" the most
