Below is an interesting main stream article on the research activity at the University of
Missouri.

They mention all the governmental agencies working on LENR (although recently most have been said to shut down).

This is a VERY respected, large University with its own Nuclear Reactor on campus. For them to state that LENR is REAL, just not
UNDERSTOOD is saying something! The article even points out that it is strange that this is being ignored by the government.

(This article is NOT from some ecat website, but from an completely indenpendant newsource.)

In recent months numerous respected scientists have been reporting at scientific gatherings that they are seeing increasing amounts of heat, which can only be coming from nuclear reactions, during experiments with hydrogen loaded into nickel and palladium under the proper conditions.

There have been so many of these reports by reliable and respected scientists that it has become absurd to claim that the phenomenon is fraudulent or that all these
scientists are mistaken in their observations.

Well if they get this one up and running I hope the scientific community apologises to Pons and Fleishmann.

That said, i'll believe it when I see a commercial plant up and running.

In Torino, Italy today, a conference entitled The Atom Unexplored is taking place in which presenters are reporting on activities in LENR and high energy nuclear reactions. The morning session was devoted to LENR, and videos of the two morning sessions have already been uploaded here:

http://theatomunexplored.com/?page_id=74

In one of the videos (Carpinteri, Hagelstein) Hagelstein of MIT mentions that the JET Energy cold fusion paladium-zirconium based NANOR system, which has been able to show a continuous production of excess heat, has been running since January and is still running, producing hundreds of times more energy than any possible chemical reactions.

After finishing watching one of the other videos (Ciampoli(Piantelli), Cherubini) from the atom unexplored, posted above, I thought i would post, what i thought was a interesting comment:

The existence of the anomalous phenomenon is now without doubt, because there is a large amount of absolutely irrefutable and unassailable experimental data.

Today it is pathological to deny all the results that were seen and measured. For example it is necessary to explain how it is possible that charged particles that you can see here and here a bigger one with energies greater than 6Mev, photographed in the cloud chamber can be emitted by a simple metal rod just after extraction from the [LENR] cell.

Prof. Francesco Piantelli, Univ. Siena / NichEnergy Inc.

Piantelli also showed a graph (of his LENR cell) showing stable thermal energy around 300C AFTER the input power to the cell had been terminated. He said this phenomenon continued for "several months"

We'll see. Apparently, a 1MW ECAT is available now, for $1.5 million - any pee-essers interested? And we are promised home-scale devices in 2013.

Couple of interesting publications coming from NASA:

http://futureinnovation.larc.nasa.gov/view/articles/futurism/bushnell/low-energy-nuclear-reactions.html

Quote:
Although there is a quite long history of "anomalous" observations, including transmutations, the "recent" consideration of Low Energy Nuclear Reactions (LENR) began in the late 80's with the Pons/Fleishman observations and assertions regarding what they termed "Cold Fusion." However, subsequent difficulties with experimental replication and an utter lack of convincing theoretical explication forced research in this arena "underground" with minimal financial support.

The current situation is that we now have over two decades of hundreds of experiments worldwide indicating heat and transmutations with minimal radiation and low energy input. By any rational measure, this evidence indicates something real is occurring. So, is LENR "Real?" Evidently, from the now long standing and diverse experimental evidence. And, yes - with effects occurring from using diverse materials, methods of energy addition etc. This is far from a "Narrow Band" set of physical phenomena.

In a press release today (below link), New Jersey company BlackLight Power (BLP) announced that numerous scientific and industry experts had validated the companys process that converts water vapor directly into electricity. BLP has invented a process it calls CIHT (Catalyst-Induced-Hydrino-Transition) in which hydrogen molecules in water vapor are transformed by the use of electrochemical cells into a new, smaller molecules called hydrinos. In the process of this transformation electrical energy is created.

http://www.marketwatch.com/story/electricity-generated-from-water-blacklight-power-announces-validation-of-its-scientific-breakthrough-in-energy-production-2012-05-22

Before anybody says i know BLP have been making noises for several years now without producing anything. I only posted this up because as the article states apparently there work has now been validated. We shall see.
