Moon of Alabama deconstructs the nonsense that the U.S. led air strikes were "an accident" here and here

Also a good take on the attack on the Aid Convoy here

Quote:
I am afraid that we will soon see another serious escalation of the conflict. An incident between U.S. and Russian planes or something like that. This is playing with fire in a room full of dynamite.

Also on the Aid Convoy Attack - Felicity Arbuthnot: Aid Attack kills 20 Destroys Aid

Quote:
What better chance to push “the No Fly Zone scenario” than arriving within “moments” of the convoy tragedy, filming it and creating a propaganda scenario before any meaningful forensic investigation could even be started, since the trucks were still burning. And, of course, the “White Helmets”, aka “Syrian Defence Force”, were filming rather than attempting to put out the fire and rescue those in the burning trucks.

Something does not sit right about this - least of all the highly dubious White helmets NGO

Of course something does not sit right. From the "accidental" attack on Syrian forces by a UK military drone last week, forces who had already stood down as part of the ceasefire, to this latest incident. The Yanks are doing their utmost to goad the Russians into retaliating in a major way such that our MSM can finally turn the corner in getting our populations onside with regards to the USA's ultimate objective; to topple Assad and end Syria's alliance with Russia.

Deconstructing the stench of propaganda:

ICH Syria's Destruction by Vicious Western media

ICH Ongoing media propaganda war against Syria

ICH Inside the Shadowy PR Firm that's pushing for Regime Change in Syria

The Western MSM propaganda has reached new lows with the infamous frauds that are The White Helmets being yet again, called out for
faking yet more videos

This is because the head chopping Jihadists thugs have taken a serious beating in eastern Aleppo. As their defence lines crumbled nonsensical views were being put out as excuses:
Quote:
After breaking the Jihadi front in the north-eastern part of the east-Aleppo cauldron yesterday, the defenses there fell completely apart. The Jihadis had to pull back and the whole norther third of the Jihadi held east-Aleppo is now rapidly falling to the Syrian government forces. The main reason for the defeat of the Jihadis is - tadaaah - the "lack of hospitals":

"The revolutionaries are fighting fiercely but the volume of bombardments and the intensity of the battles, the dead and the wounded, and the lack of hospitals, are all playing a role in the collapse of these frontlines," said an official from Jabha Shamiya, one of the biggest groups fighting against Assad in northern Syria.

The destruction of the last hospital for transsexual cats in Aleppo by a thermobaric barrel nuke must have been the tipping point of the fight. This is, I believe, the first time such a ludicrous propaganda excuse has been given for a total defeat.

As of today the Eastern Aleppo pocket has shrunk
even more dramatically
Around 40% of the eastern Aleppo enclave has been liberated

There are Twitter accounts reporting that the Wahabbi jihadist thugs have surrendered in Eastern Aleppo - if confirmed this is a crushing victory for the armed forces of Syria.

It is increasing sounding like the civil war is finally drawing to a close - no thanks to Western intervention.

It is despite of Western intervention. An intervention that was conceived and implemented in order to foster that civil war.

Hopefully, the job lot of them will be put up against a wall and shot every last man so that any remaining wannabe Yank financed Jihadists crawl back under their stones for a very long time.

Precisely. Financed with GCC money to promote their interests and those of Israel - by trying to weaken Hezbollah being a primary objective
It has backfired spectacularly badly for them.

A further update:

The Old City of Aleppo has been liberated

Al Masdar reports that 85% of Eastern Aleppo has been liberated

Moon of Alabama puts into context what may next be in store here

There are reports that the surrendered jihadists have been taken to "an unknown destination" in green buses. It may be Idlib or Turkey but no one is sure. The 200 or so demoralized jihadists who surrendered West Ghouta recently were apparently moved to Idlib.

The Syrian Arab Air Force and the Russians have been active over this area and there will be an offensive as more and more forces are being freed up. This may prove to be the jihadists last stand in Western Syria

Another false flag attack - this time a gas attack in Idlib Province.

Already there are many questions and the whole narrative that "Assad did it" is, as on previous occasions, is unravelling at a rapid rate.

Paul Antonopoulos: Something is not adding up in the Idlib CW attack

Quote:
For one, seen in the above picture, the White Helmets are handling the corpses of people without sufficient safety gear, most particularly with the masks mostly used , as well as no gloves. Although this may seem insignificant, understanding the nature of sarin gas that the opposition claim was used, only opens questions.

Within seconds of exposure to sarin, the affects of the gas begins to target the muscle and nervous system. There is an almost immediate release of the bowels and the bladder, and vomiting is induced. When sarin is used in a concentrated area, it has the likelihood of killing thousands of people. Yet, such a dangerous gas, and the White Helmets are treating bodies with little concern to their exposed skin. This has to raise questions.

It also raises the question why a doctor in a hospital full of victims of sarin gas has the time to tweet and make video calls. This will probably be dismissed and forgotten however

Moon of Alabama: Various issues

Quote:
Al-Qaeda in Syria and its subordinate "moderate rebels" are being defeated in their last big attack on Hama governate. The Russian defense ministry said that more than 2,000 Jihadis had been killed during the failed attack. Another attack on Latakia was stopped cold by massive Russian air strikes on the staging areas. Al-Qaeda's back yard in Idleb is under constant air interdiction.

The usual response when under such pressure are incidents of "chemical attacks" "on civilians". Such is claimed today in Khan Sheikhoun. The video footage, taken (when?) in a White Helmets base, shows "rescuers" spraying water on people who are claimed to have been effected by Sarin. If this were a real chemical incident involving Sarin or similar stuff these unprotected, unprofessional "rescuers" would be heavily effected if not dead.

This raises many questions about the story. The fraudulent "White Helmets" are showing up their amateurism here as their actions are betraying the story being spun unquestioningly in the Western MSM.

How could a doctor have time for video calls during an emergency?

Talking of unquestioning MSM:

Robert Parry: Another dangerous rush to judgement in Syria

Robert Parry wrote:
None of this means that Assad’s forces are innocent, but a serious investigation ascertains the facts and then reaches a conclusion, not the other way around.
However, to suggest these other possibilities will, I suppose, draw the usual accusations about “Assad apologist,” but refusing to prejudge an investigation is what journalism is supposed to be about

Peter DODGY: It's WMD all over again. Why don't you see it?

Peter DODGY wrote:
Well, here are some thoughts as to why this has happened now. This has come just as Russian policy in the area had begun to look successful. That would never do. Never underestimate the current desire in western foreign policy circles to increase hostility between Russia and the USA. It comes as Britain’s absurdly close and servile client relationship to the despotic and aggressive (ask a Yemeni) Saudi Regime is underlined by a visit to Riyadh by Theresa May. And it comes as Egypt’s tyrant General Sisi, who we are not allowed to call a military dictator, though he is, and whose forces gunned down hundreds of demonstrators in Cairo, visits Washington.

Two points occur. One, the western powers , by consorting with such people, demonstrate that their exaggerated disgust at the Assad government is selective and unreal. Two, they demonstrate that our continuing desire to be on good terms with Saudi Arabia lies beneath our whole foreign policy in this region. And which state loathes President Assad more than anyone? Why, Wahhabi Saudi Arabia, which despises Assad for his Alawite heresy, and hates him for his alliance with Shia Iran.

In this world of fake news I hate to jump to conclusions. Given that I saw early video of first responders hosing down victims with fire hoses before they dared touch them or offer any real assistance. Perhaps what you are referring to is video taken just a few minutes later after the all clear was determined.
The question today is what will be the Western worlds response if they actually respond at all.
No course of action is without dangers and difficulties. For example a bombing raid to wipe out the Syrian air force would have to fly through Russian air defenses and the bombs would most likely kill several Russian personnel stationed on the Syrian air bases.
It is a very dangerous and complicated situation.

Imagine if you will the effect it might have on Xi Jinping if while sitting around Trumps palace in Florida Trump has some of Assad's palaces as well as his airfields and planes blown to bits. At the least it might focus ones thoughts about US capabilities when discussing North Korea or the South China sea islands much less trade relations.
Once Trump has his undivided attention he can make him offers he can't refuse. Wink

The USA have launched cruise missiles against Syrian air bases from which it is believed that the chemical weapons attacks were launched.
