Sorry to be so unclear! No, I don't recall you supporting nuclear and I did not mean to imply that.

The environmental damage from wind and PV is trivial compared with that of burning fossil carbon. I think we could, possibly, live sustainably with an economy powered by wind, pv and a few other renewables. That is not an option with fossil fuel.

I don't much care about the motivations of people who build wind turbines. The important thing is that every unit of electricity they generate is one that is not generated by coal or gas.
