This area is for discussions about electricity, including generation, transmission, distribution and domestic or other use.

Including, but not limited to house wiring, electrical installation of PV modules and wind turbines, battery storage, and so on.

As most of our members are from the UK, it will be presumed that UK practice and regulations etc. are being discussed, unless stated otherwise. If you are from overseas, or wish to talk about overseas practice please make this clear.

This is not the place to discuss politics, economics, or social policy unless directly related to electrical matters.
Possible shortages of electrical generating capacity are a proper subject to discuss, as are smart meters, but this should be technical and not political ranting.
