It seems that Trump is thinking of going after those who protested against his electoral campaign.

We can't sign because we don't have a zip code.

Normal tactic for a dictator.

Funny. A dictator who won via the electoral system. A dictator who obeys the law.
Are you going to call him a racist next? Or a misogynist? White supremacist - that's popular these days. Why not call him that too?

"foolish pussy grabbing misogynist" - didn't work

"Putin puppet" - didn't work

"facist dictator" - we'll see

In any event, such has been the unmitigated attack from all sections of the deep state, its various lackeys and assorted useful idiots, he's very probably finished. He's certainly already neutralised. I'm not saying any of this as a supporter. Just an observer.

He set himself up in the election as the Protector of the Ordinary Man which many ordinary men and women in the US accepted. Many outside the US saw him as a Neofascist lackey of the industrialist, property developing class that he is proving to be. His anti climate change stance is ostensibly to the advantage of the "ordinary hard working man of the US" but, in reality, it plays directly to the benefit of the dinosaur industrialists who make fortunes out of dumping their waste into the US environment to the absolute disadvantage of the "ordinary hard working man of the US".

Now Trump is going after the poor to the advantage of his rich property developing friends but maybe this affects the black poor rather more than the white poor so he might keep his poor white supporters onside.

It goes without saying that Trump is a boorish, buffoonish snake oil salesman. But, Liberal rage has only one purpose: to stick the boot into Trump on behalf of its corporate masters. By themselves - the history of racism, neo-nazism and militarism/wars etc haven't produced any significant protests in recent years.

But, the minute Trump can be tied to any "negative" ism, the American deep state, its servants in the MSM headed by the New York Times and Soros' obedient storm troopers are ready to march to the very ends of earth.

It is all nauseatingly predictable. As is the usefully idiotic, right-on-cue, Pavlovian response of the bourgeois class.

And what strange systems we have, where the winner gets fewer votes than the loser.

That is not as transparently true as you may think E. Whilst it is true, under the mangled US electoral system, that Trump won with a shade fewer votes than Clinton, the vote distribution was, itself, based on that electoral system.

In other words, there will have been many voters in various constituencies who, seeing that one or other candidate was overwhelmingly likely to win, won't have bothered to vote. I'm not even going to try and guess, if the system had been different, who it may have benefited. But, we can be certain that the result would have been different.

All we can say is that under the current system, Trump won.

Yes, under the system is what I meant: not in absolute terms, just as in the UK and many other countries. If it had been a two-choice referendum...

And now the psychopath is dumping the IPCC.

Quote:
summary includes the IPCC on a list that “does not include funding for controversial or unnecessary programs"

I wonder if you would have made the same point if Clinton had won?

You mean if Clinton got fewer votes than Trump but nonetheless got the presidency? "Probably" is the answer. I didn't want either of them. Both are the evils of two lessers.

The point is about the odd systems we choose - and how if we used the same systems in referendums, the remainers would have stood a better chance; may have even prevailed.

He knows that if he ignores climate change it will go away! Or perhaps he know he will go away before the effect of his cuts is noticed.
