I used to rate Mr Smith at the S/T for his economic coverage, but he has a real blind spot when it comes to oil - he published another article a few months back where he breifly mentioned peak oil but then quoted Odell to rebuff it. In for a rude awakening I feel. also cant quite see how he works out that if oil did go to $100 the BoE would be in a position to drop rates? Oil at $100 would be a tad inflationary thus tieing the BoE's hands I feel (and they pay this guy to write this stuff?)

If you think that is bad, you should see The Spectator this week...it is an article about how science will save us. It made me so furious...

I've got a new slogan for a t-shirt.

"Scientists will think of something."
WELL THEY'D BETTER HURRY UP!

ahh hum (clears throat loudly)....as an ex-scientist I should defend my former brethren; and science will hopefully play a major role in alleviating some of the problems we face (he says ever hopefully). Unfortunately science can't synthesise hydrocarbons out of thin air - yet.......

Oh, no doubt scientists will play a big part in mitigating the consequences BUT I think most people assume they'll create some magical cure that'll mean we just carry on, business as usual.

If life was all "business as usual" it would be incredibly boring.

Hmm ? as a scientist and engineer I would say no one should look to science to save anyone. Science is just about gaining knowledge and engineering about applying it but the thing is, you never know what science will find out and even if science find out something of use it takes a long time to get it into a usable state. In the end its people who make the mess and people who should clear it up! Looking to sconce to fix things is a bit like looking for someone else to blame.

BTW, maybe the message is starting to get through. My so was reading a new book the other day about car, planes and boats. On the page about the future car it said that cars in the future won?t run on petrol. Smile

It's easy to be angry when people do not agree, and you can feel justified perhaps since it's serious, but it's not the reason.

People are psychological, not logical, of course we should have a much higher percentiage of independent people on important positions. It's hard though since they are so few, most of you here are kind of independent, but not enough, I see the same sheap mentallity here, the same meak submission.

As for science, there's still good scientists out there actually, now there should have been many more, but since stupidity and cowardry there's a awfull few of them along with genuinely nice people, loyal people.

The task they have is enormous, it can not be solved immidiately and not in the next 20 years, probably not even in the next hundred years, there's things that we can implement right now, but it would require a long build up time, in your perspective it should have happened in the seventies or something, and of course it would mean less luxury, I talk about air power stored as compressed air in tanks.

Fortunately it's here now, it was here last year and I celebrated it for months, walked around with an euphoria, I'm still happy of course and I anticipate many exiting an rejuvenating moments in the future for my race. Of course it will certainly shock me to, I will not celebrate the deaths of many of my race for example, but morn them and blaim those responsible for this and they are of course the massmedia owners. They have a enormous responsibility since they form the very thoughts and feelings people have. It's them. Not the smiths, the Joes or the svenssons.
They are not guilty of anything. I crusches my heart to see when people tell these weak, ridiculed and persecuted populations are given the blame often they are blaming themselves. It's not right, it where not their decision to erase race of the equation and leave family and human kind. It where not their decision to let globalism happen, it where not their decision to now WRITE ANYTHING or show ANYTHING about the reality of depletable resources.

Now the cost of transportation will skyrice and the economy will be decreased, somewhat corresponding to that, it can be halfing times of only eight years.

I have a package to deal with peakoil it will ensure, long range use of oil in rather big shares, ofcourse diciplin of use and with long term programs to ensure a society after oil. We should simply don't let the chinese and the others to have any oil, we have the power to do this, otherwise we would cause the death of our white children and lower their chances of survivial, after all, what use do we have of the others? They are simply worthless and we could actually kill them and be heroes now.. giving them our resources? that's EVIL.

We have exiting times in ahead of us not only is it here, but the chinese will go to war in the comming years, they have now choice you see, they need living space, they work for chinese interests, they have not leaved out race, but think family, race , and mankind. White people have all their lives been brainwashed into believe that it's wrong to think family, race, mankind. It's like a communist state that orders that families are unfair, there's only "comrades"

Again, you will see the chinese go to war, you will se the arise of white forces working for white interests, our real leaders, you will se alot of things in the comming years... ethnic cleansing probably aswell.

But hopefully YOU will aslo have to opportunity to engage in a exciting adventure with violence and struggle, where you can test your masculinity against others, and not just exist as an observer.

We "fascists" "Racists" "Nazis" etc will be your leaders, this is because as I mentioned? we are the real leaders, the natural force of ensuring once interests and not some evil construction catched more easily with bad grades, but only an INSTINCT. I where born to a "fascist" "Racist" "Nazi" etc, it's because I'm hard, though, and a good friend, of course along with that I don't take any orders from anyone or anyone that have lived, not even from Mr. Hitler. (May he enjoy himself in valhalla, and may he be with his children)

Now please don't whine and say how much I destroy your little precious bubble you got here, etc, because it just makes me sad, to see white "men" behave this lame, I know most of you agree with me inside because what I say you logically understands would benefit your interests, your higher interests (it's not selfish to follow those, but rather a sign of an healthy vigor), but you're way to scared and crazy in your emotions, comming up with all kinds of strange illogical things, just like people who have an "ambundant oil" fixation.

The moderator should accept strong real men on this forum, I can contribute as ju have just red.

It can be more contributions if a fair and friendly response will be a reality.

Ps. I think that only bearers of especially valuable genes should be aloud to eat, in a though time rather than the weak, sick etc. they could actually be killed along with the handicapped and the mongoloids, they are simply worthless, I put my finger up in the air and then I ask myself, what use will I have of him, her, they, it etc. If there's certainly no value there are no hindering object other than the terror-ballance to not go ahead and kill those irritating enemies of life.

You have so much to learn, you do not understand "my killings", you do understand the "killings" of the society you live in, the "abortion" of little babies - often actual babies, valuable offspring, Where I live they murder 30 thousands everyyear, I do not accept this, I hate this, I can not understand how parents can murder real children like this, it's insanity, then they keep mongoloid offspring alive! and supports those little bloodsuckers for the rest of their resource intensive and pointless lives. I know Matt Simmons says that we should ger ridd of eldery people, I can understand him, but I don't think he's realistic and I would not want my grandparents to be killed, they could even live with me, at a low cost, on my expensive because Im so emotionally attached to them, they are so nice and friendly etc. I suggest we kill the non-whites instead and the defects in our society and keep eldery people alive although they are practically worthless. We should though have a culture where eldery people can kill themselves, and where it is suggested, - for various reasons... it's nothing wrong with that, i will certainly not die lying in a bed like a woman. We used to have that culture in sweden, there's plenty of big cliffs, I don't think they threw people out there except an occasional homosexual or so, but that the elders asked to be thrown or threw themselves for the best of their higher interests, as splendid human creations. (may not their perfectness towards life have been in vain!)

Input plz.! What U all think? ( think about a nice girl from prehistorian times, politely asking for your group approval not knowing how insane and brainswashed you all are!) that's so ******* funny, ya know, your society is absolutely INSANE and U brag about the values of it! How ridicelous, when it's values are the most horrid imaginable and foreing to all of our ancestors except perhaps the most horrid christians, who inthemselves are a bunch of lying, self decieving cowards, and only since 2000 years. we have been around a LONG TIME fellows, as Cro Magnon humans and then as varios aryan groups and then as northeuropeans. atleast 100 000 years.

..... Can 98 000 years of values be wrong? (even longer btw..way longer) would we be around if our ancestors valuated tings wrong? ofcourse no, I have a sad story to tell, people have this crazy ideas because they are suppressed and destroy their own tribe in order to pay tribute to an enemy, I can't see another explantion for this good is bad - bad is good insanity. I just can't. So it's the opposite, how ironic that you all would have burned in hell for a thousand years if there really where a god around! may all consious christians who ever have lived burn in hell, and all heathens and independent people in prehistoric europe to present time be given a place in valhalla among their independent ancestors

Now again, celebration is in the air, peakoil is here, the winds of history shall sweap over the weak and kill them all!

It's here! It's here! Peakoil is finally here!!!

Smile

Odin may would have spooke:

Your christian god proved to fail you in your struggle with enemies both internal and external, now come to me again, my children, let nature, simplicity, truth and sanity be your future, let your pride and confidence be your trust in troubled times, may you face the hardships with concentrated realism and when you're about to die, even a horrible death, acompanjie a smile on your cute young, face of north european heritiage, because you are something ethernal as long you willingly die for what is right.

Of course, the solution:

?Don?t let China and the others have any oil??

I think I?ve heard this sort of idea before. The Project for a New American Century springs to mind, and it doesn?t seem to be going too well. The fact is, WE are not capable of disallowing China or the others from having any oil. WE haven?t been able to do much about Iraqi oil, and what could WE do for Iranian oil?

Quote:
Exerpted from Petrodollar Warfare: Dollars, Euros and the Upcoming Iranian Oil Bourse
In the December 2004 issue of the Atlantic Monthly, James Fallows reported that numerous high-level war-gaming sessions had recently been completed by Sam Gardiner, a retired Air Force colonel who has run war games at the National War College for the past two decades.[9] Col. Gardiner summarized the outcome of these war games with this statement, "After all this effort, I am left with two simple sentences for policymakers: You have no military solution for the issues of Iran. And you have to make diplomacy work."
(Emphasis mine).

That?s before we begin thinking about taking on China?

As Dmitry Orlov put it:
?Wars take resources, and, when resources are already scarce, fighting wars over resources becomes a lethal exercise in futility. Those with more resources would be expected to win. I am not arguing that wars over resources will not occur. I am suggesting that they will be futile, and that victory in these conflicts will be barely distinguishable from defeat.?

Good luck with it.

You?ll be dead meat.

But you?ll prove you are a REAL MAN!

Preventing other countries from getting 'our oil' is not the solution - it would run out eventually anyway and following a business as usual tack would mean that the opportunity to invest that oil in energy-producing capital projects was forgone.

40,000 years ago we were all black when living in Africa - skin tone is a function of exposure to the sun, nothing else. In 20,000 years we'll all be brown as the 'races' mix.

I believe that all people have something to add to the world, whether they are 'productive' or not - humility springs to mind. And I also believe that all people are intrinsically good, even the Karl's of this world, it's just that some are f**ked up by the crazy social and economic system we live in. Some psychotherapists believe that Hitler acted the way he did because of the shame he felt (induced by society) at being an illegitimate (more shame) child of a Jewish servant.

Not really possible to tell but the post would be consistent with extreme right wing stuff that I have seen before. Weather it was a troll or not isn?t too important but it does highlight an important point and one that concerns me. As time get harder due to PO (or other limits) you might find people turning more and more to such extreme ideology which will do more harm than good. Sad

I feel sure that chemists can make hydrocrbons from thin air but it isn't economic at present. As the price of other hydrocarbons rises...

Thin air consists mainly of nitrogen, oxygen, inert gases, carbon dioxide and water vapour. We burn hydrocarbon fuels to give water and carbon dioxide. All we need is a renewable energy supply and we can use it to convert CO2 and H2O back to hydrocarbons, preferably aliphatic types because they are less poisonous and require less energy to make, I think.

However it may still be easier to go through biomass and this will not lessen the problem of requiring less energy usage and a lower population.

(For a renewable energy supply see other posts on geothermal, solar and tidal power.)
